Defense Ministers of Mongolia and Japan hold virtual meeting

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Defense of Mongolia N.Enkhbold held a virtual meeting with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono. At the start of the meeting, Defense Minister of Japan Taro Kono highly appraised actions and measures being taken by the Government of Mongolia in prevention of COVID-19 pandemic, and the sides mutually exchanged views on their experiences and actions against COVID-19, Montsame reports.
Noting that defense cooperation between Mongolia and Japan has been developing in a wider scope through all level reciprocal visits, consultative meetings, training of personnel and joint military exercises, the Ministers agreed to successfully continue and conduct joint training and exercises in the future in areas of military engineer and military hospital within "Capacity Building Program", jointly run by the Armed Forces of Mongolia and the Self-Defensive Forces of Japan.
