AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbek religious research institutions signed agreements with Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) with assistance of Uzbekistan's Embassy in Malaysia on June 3. The agreements foresee partnership between Uzbekistan's religious research institutions and IKIM to study Islam, to participate in bilateral conferences, seminars, to explore ancient Uzbek manuscripts.
Uzbekistan will allow IKIM to study more than 100,000 ancient manuscripts about Islam, which will assist in exploration of the religion, states head of Institute Akhmad Sarzhi bin Abdul Hamid.
As a result of the agreements, IKIM and Uzbek institutions will organize video conference to discuss further cooperation and to include published in Uzbekistan scientific publications into IKIM online library.
