Some $5.8 million needed for pay supplement to police forces, servicemen involved into COVID-19 fight

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Finance has paid compensations and incentives to all medical professionals involved into fight against COVID-19, candidate for Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at the meeting of the majority coalition of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today.
Police officers and servicemen are eligible for pay supplements for their work during state of emergency, but there is no methodology for calculation of these incentives. The government is working to fill this gap, Boronov said.
440 million soms ($5.8 million) will be required for pay supplements for police officers and servicemen. 700 million soms ($9.3 million) will be required for pay supplements for medical professionals, Finance Minister Baktigul Jeenbayeva said.
