Uzbekistan names Tajik and Kyrgyz universities discouraged for application

AKIPRESS.COM - The list of universities in the neighboring countries unwelcome to apply has been publicized in Uzbekistan.
The education quality in some universities in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is not suitable for Uzbekistan's labor market, according to the recommendations on education quality in universities of foreign countries approved by the State Inspectorate for Education Quality under the Government of Uzbekistan.
The Inspectorate noted that the recommendations are based on analytical research of educational process in foreign universities from several sources and test results.
According to the State Inspectorate, 16 universities of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are unsuitable for Uzbek labor market.
The list includes following Kyrgyz universities: International University in Central Asia, Kyrgyz-Uzbek University, International Medical High School, Kyzyl-Kiya Teacher Training Institute of Batken State University, Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute of Osh, State University of Jalal-Abad, State University of Justice in Osh, Mayluu-Suu Institute for Economy and Business Administration.
The list includes the following Tajik universities: Tajik Open University, Khujand State University, Tajik State Pedagogical University, Tajik Institute for Business and Services, Tajik Taxa and Law Institute, Tajik State Institute of Languages, State University of Kurgan-Tube, Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics.
Universities in Kazakhstan were not included in the list, though the Inspectorate stated that some universities in this country despite the high rates do not provide high quality education, because Uzbek students can enroll without exams and study online.
The State inspectorate recommended Uzbek students to study at universities in countries which hold high positions in rankings of higher education institutions.
