Local authorities, nation-wide operative team bear responsibility for control over COVID-19 situation - Jeenbekov

AKIPRESS.COM - "After the state of emergency was lifted, the number of COVID-19 cases grew significantly," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said today in Parliament. "I would like to remind again the emergency situation is still in effect in the country. The commandant's offices were closed, their functions were delegated to local authorities. Their rights as heads of regional civil defense authorities entered into force. Region governors, mayors, governors of districts and rural municipalities bear responsibility for control over the situation and prevention of its deterioration," the President said.
The nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment also bears responsibility for prompt organization, regulation and coordination of work on reception, treatment and consultaitons for infected citizens, the President said.
Responsibility of citizens is as much important, the President added.
The main task of the government is mobilization of the government agencies and local authorities, protection of people from spread of this virus, protection of health of people.
"Nobody will stay aside. We all will support the government," the President said.
