President Jeenbekov suggests stop of passenger transportation service between regions

AKIPRESS.COM - "Someone suggests introduction of strict quarantine. The nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment will submit suggestions depending upon the situation. In current situation it is proposed to consider possibility of stop of passenger transportation service between the regions of Kyrgyzstan," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said during the virtual meeting of the Security Council today.
"After lifting of quarantine restrictions, the resurgence in COVID-19 cases is observed in the country and many citizens suffer from pneumonia due to coronavirus," President Jeenbekov said and reminded about number of restrictions reinstated in Bishkekamid spike in new coronavirus cases.
"I suggested at the plenary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan to officially prohibit various mass celebrations and events. I think it would be right for the nation-wide operative team to make an official decision on this," Jeenbekov said.
The President said more beds should be prepared in all hospitals and observation facilities. More places should be arranged for patients to receive first medical aid, the President said.
All actions related to fight against coronavirus infection should be financed timely and as a matter of priority.
