Health Ministry may combine statistics on coronavirus and pneumonia

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health is considering combining statistics on coronavirus and community-acquired pneumonia, Health Ministry's spokeswoman Ainura Akmatova said on July 8. According to her, there were many complaints that Ministry of Health is hiding statistics on community-acquired pneumonia and coronavirus. However, the ministry is not doing this, she said.
"There have been isolated cases of community-acquired pneumonia in the republic from the first day of coronavirus registration, and the coronavirus was detected only by the results of PCR tests. Now, we need to assist patients without waiting for PCR tests," she said.
Akmatova explained that the possibility of combining statistics on community-acquired pneumonia and coronavirus is being considered due to increasing of pneumonia cases.
