President Jeenbekov: Domestic production of medicines considered

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov today visited a nighttime in-patient facility for people with pneumonia, the president's press service reported.
These nighttime facilities were opened in addition to 9 daytime in-patient facilities. Medical workers, who arrived from abroad to help the fight against COVID-19 work there.
The President thanked medical workers, who provide medical assistance to patients around the clock. He thanked the medical workers for their arrival from abroad to aid COVID-19 battle here.
More than 80 medical workers-volunteers arrived in Kyrgyzstan from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, other Russian cities. A group of medical workers will arrive from Turkey and Novosibirsk in near time.
"The work of volunteers is invaluable. I am convinced we will defeat the virus when we have such sons and daughters. I thank all volunteers and businesmen who provide assistance in such difficult times," Jeenbekov said.
"If every citizen observes the established requirements, we will win. Many depends upon responsibility and discipline," he added.
While talking about shortage of medicines in the country, the President said this issue is under a special control. Domestic production of medicines is considered. The government is recommended to support pharmaceutical companies in addition to measures on import of medicines from abroad," the President said.
