WHO says coronavirus situation getting better in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The situation with spread of coronavirus infection is improving in Kazakhstan, Dr. Dorit Nitzan, WHO Regional Emergency Director, said during the virtual meeting with Kazakhstan's Health Minister Alexey Tsoy.
The situation is getting better judging from the data WHO obtains. Despite one third of cases were registered during the last two weeks, cases are declinded, she said.
The government develops a number of sanitary measures, improves testing and treatment measures, as well infection control in hospitals, she added.
Kazakhstan agreed to test patients without pneumonia for coronavirus and use WHO laboratories. This is recommended in all countries in similar situation, Dr. Dorit Nitzan said.
