Bishkek still remains coronavirus epicenter after consolidation of Covid-19 and pneumonia statistics

AKIPRESS.COM - 506 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed today in Bishkek, which brought the total number of confirmed cases to 6,533.
Kyrgyzstan recorded 1,264 new COVID-19 (U07.1 and U07.2) cases in a day. Such spike in cases is explained with consolidation of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases and pneumonia.
According to the Ministry of Health, two codes were entered into the intenrational classification of diseases - U07.1 and U07.2, where the first is laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 case and the second is COVID-19 case confirmed by clinical signs. This way Kyrgyzstan combined the tallies of coronavirus infections and community-acquired pneumonia into one tally.
The number of COVID-19 cases (both laboratory- and clinically-confirmed) in Bishkek grew 7.5 times from June 18 to July 18.
868 coronavirus cases were recorded on June 18, which grew to 6,533 cases by July 18.
