International Atomic Energy Agency mission to visit Uzbekistan in December

AKIPRESS.COM - Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) mission of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will arrive in Uzbekistan in December, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
Vice Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov earlier met IAEA General Director Raphael Grossi in Vienna. The later told that agency is quite satisfied with realization of nuclear program in Uzbekistan.
"We think that your country can be a model in building relations with IAEA for other new nuclear countries," Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry quoted the IAEA General Director as saying.
IAEA Vice Director Mikhail Chudakov earlier said that agency will send INIR mission to Uzbekistan in 2020.
Uzbekistan has developed program for nuclear infrastructure and qualification of potential workers as part of nuclear station construction project in 2020-2021 with the help of IAEA, Uzatom agency reports.
