Kyrgyz citizen faces up to 20 years in prison in Russia for suspected membership in terrorist organization

AKIPRESS.COM - A citizen of Kyrgyzstan was taken into custody in Novosibirsk, Russia.
The man is suspected of organization of activities of a terrorist organization and participation in activities of such organization.
The citizen of Kyrgyzstan along with a Russian citizen will be held in custody until September 20.
The two were detained by the Russian Federal Security Service, which said they are members of the terrorist organization Islamic Party of Turkestan, which is banned in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The men face from 10 to 20 years in prison.
