Retired Kyrgyz police officer detained in Russia with suitcase of 79 million rubles

AKIPRESS.COM - Officers of tax service and the border department of the Russian Federal Security FSB detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan and a citizen of Russia with suitcase of money at the Koltsovo airport in Yekaterinburg, Znak.com reported.
A pensioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and his companion tried to fly to Bishkek. Customs check found almost 79 million rubles in their luggage.
They were unable to explain the origin of the money.
"The tax authorities drew up a protocol and initiated an administrative case under Article 15.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the currency legislation of the Russian Federation"). The funds will be withdrawn for the country's budget," the online edition reported.
