AKIPRESS.COM - A representative of the Embassy of Belarus in Bishkek was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan on August 11.
The Kyrgyz side demanded to provide explanations concerning public appearance of fugitive former Prime Minister Daniyar Usenov wanted and convicted in Kyrgyzstan. Such actions undermine development of friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, building effective mutually beneficial cooperation, the Kyrgyz side said.
The Foreign Ministry handed in a note and urged the Belarusian authorities to undertake actions to immediately detain and extradite Daniyar Usenov and other involved persons staying in Belarus.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a working trip to Minsk region on August 10, where he became familiarized with the progress of implementation of the investment project of creation of hi-tech full-cycle agroindustrial production complex.
The given project is carried out by Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, which is headed by Daniil Uritskiy. In Kyrgyzstan he is known as Daniyar Usenov, fugitive former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, who fled from the country in 2010 with ousting of then President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
Usenov lives in Belarus for the last several years. The Bakievs settled there as well. They all received Belarusian passports.
