AKIPRESS.COM - After consolidation of coronavirus and pneumonia cases on July 19 in Kyrgyzstan, the highest number of daily cases was registered - 1,485 cases, Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev said.
"The peak of cases mainly occurred between July 13 and 19, compared to earlier cases. Since that time the decline in daily cases is observed. If we take the daily cases for the past week, we will see 21% decrease of cases by August 3-9 and 40% decline in cases by August 10-16," Deputy Minister Karataev stated.
For a week from July 6 to 12, the biggest number of positive PCR test results for coronavirus was registered as well, the Deputy Minister added.
"From July 6 to 12, 23% of all PCR tests had positive results for coronavirus. By August 10-16, this number dropped to 4.9%," Deputy Minister Karataev stated.
The Ministry of Health has analyzed virus reproduction effect to estimate how many people may catch coronavirus from 1 infected person. The estimations were made on the basis of the methodologies of WHO and Russian human well-being watchdog Rospotrebnadzor, the Deputy Health Mnister said.
"The highest rate was registered from June 29 to July 2, when 1 person might have infected 1-2 people. From August 10 to 16, this rate dropped to 0.8," Karataev said.
