Emomali Rahmon nominated for President

AKIPRESS.COM - The federation of independent trade unions of Tajikistan nominated incumbent President Emomali Rahmon to run for President.
According to the law, trade unions have right to nominate candidates for President apart from political parties and the Union of Youth.
Emomali Rahmon has become the 5th candidate nominated for President.
Agrarian Party nominated Rustam Latifzoda earlier. The Socialist Party of Tajikistan nominated Abduhalim Gafforov. The Democratic Party of Tjaikistan nominated Saidjafar Usmonzoda. The Party of Economic Reforms of Tajikistan nominated Rustam Rahmatzoda.
The Communist Party and ruling People's Democratic Party to nominate their candidates in early September.
The opposition Social Democratic Party of Tajikistan is likely to boycott the presidential elections. Two days ago their leader Rahmatillo Zoirov said he will not run for the President. He said the incumbent PResident has no right to be the party leady.
The presidential elections in Tajikistan are scheduled for October 11.
Emomali Rahmon remains the President of Tajikistan for 28 years.
