Schools reopen in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - 329 schools today reopened in Uzbekistan after a 6-month break, the Ministry of Education reported.
The schools closed and switched to online learning since March 16, when the first coronavirus infection case was registered in Uzbekistan.
Sanitary and epidemiological control centers checked preparedness of schools for the new academic year and provided training for school workers.
The decision on reopening of schools is made by local councils on the basis of the conclusions of the sanitary and epidemiological control centers.
The 2020/2021 academic year will officially start on September 14 in Uzbekistan.
According to the findings of the poll conducted by the Ministry of Education, 76% of 5.5 million parents voted for traditional school learning and 24% preferred to continue remote learning or learning through TV.
