Public and municipal servants among those barred from campaigning in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan informed voters and other participants of the electoral process that several categories of citizens do not have right to campaign for candidates and spread any campaigning materials.
Particularly, public and municipal servants, persons holding state political posts, members of election commissions, local and international observers, clergymen, founders and members of charity organizations, underage persons, foreign nationals and organizations, stateless persons are barred from campaigning.
Promotion of ethnic, religious, interregional hatred, gender and other social supremacy, calls for discrimination and hatred, calls for seizure of power, violent change of constitutional order and violation of integrity of the state are prohibited during campaigning.
Vote buying is not allowed in any forms, the General Prosecutor's Office warned.
