AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with China's State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on September 10 on the sidelines of the meeting of the SCO Foreign Ministers Counci in Moscow.
The Foreign Ministers discussed current bilateral cooperation and its prospects in security, political, economic, commercial, investment, cultural, humanitarian spheres.
The interest was expressed in further expansion of ties in exchange of experience in diagnostics and treatment of coronavirus, in-service training for medical professionals, development of coronavirus vaccine, prevention of effects of the COVID-19 pandemics.
The Foreign Ministers noted relevance of Central Asia-China Foreign Ministers meetings for shaping security, stability and prosperity zone in the region. Importance of practical steps in further implementation of investment and infrastructure projects accelerating economic and social development of the Central Asian states and China was underlined.
The Ministers welcomed the decision on holding the first round of intra-Afghan talks in Doha.
Multilateral cooperation in the framework of UN, SCO and other international organizations were reviewed among other aspects.
