AKIPRESS.COM - The bird flu outbreak was registered in North Kazakhstan region, the Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan reported.
The avian influenza was confirmed after specialists tested samples from died birds.
Deaths of domestic poultry were registered in 7 districts of North Kazakhstan region from September 9-16.
According to the National Reference Center, the deaths were caused by highly pathogenic avian influenza.
Kazakhstan notified the World Organization for Animal Health as required by the rules.
The Veterinary Control Committee imposed a temporary ban on export of poultry in live weight, eggs, feather and down, meat, fodder and additives, used equipment for maintenance and slaughter of poultry from 7 districts of North Kazakhstan region.
873,000 doses of vaccines against high pathogenic bird flu were provided for vaccination of poultry in districts bordering with Russia.
