Turkmen President meets Kazakh PM

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin on Sept 17 in Ashgabat, official Turkmen and Kazakh media report.
The parties noted fast development of ties and great potential of further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere.
Despite the quarantine measures and the current situation in the world, the level of trade between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan has maintained a steady growth: trade turnover increased by 10% to about $100 million in January-July 2020.
The volume of rail freight in transit through Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan increased by 55% in January-August this year.
