Second batch of flu vaccines expected in early October in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Flu vaccination is ongoing in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov told a briefing today.
Vaccination is carried out according to the schedule. "Flu vaccines will arrive in 3 stages. The first batch arrived on September 15 - around 120,000 doses. They were distributed among the regions. Vaccination is in progress already. The second batch will arrive in early October - around 215,000 doses. Some 70,000 doses of vaccines will arrive before November 1," the Prime Minister said.
Medical workers of infectious disease hospitals, ambulance stations, intensive care units, maternity hospitals, family medicine centers; children and workers of orphanages, elderly homes; citizens with chronic diseases, frequently ill children, pregnant women and citizens older 65 years will be vaccinated first and free of charge.
The rest may be vaccinated at private healthcare providers.
The Prime Minister reminded about importance of practicing good personal hygiene, social distancing. "We should not forget about this. We should make conclusions and protect ourselves and our closed ones," he said.
