Uzbek school opens in New York

AKIPRESS.COM - The Uzbek school Ziyo Art has opened in Brooklyn in New York on September 19, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The opening ceremony was organized by the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in New York and diaspora organization Mahalla USA.
Uzbek language and literature, ethics, arts, chess and math are taught at the school.
Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays by qualified teachers selected on the basis of competition with use of learning materials obtained from Uzbekistan.
The General Consulate handed over books to the school on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan.
