President Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev discuss regional cooperation issues

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held a working meeting on September 25.
The meeting was held in Saryagash, Turkestan region of Kazakhstan at the suggestion of the Kazakh side, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
"The leaders of two countries discussed current bilateral strategic partnership and its prospects, exchanged views on relevant regional and international issues," said the report.
A special attention was paid to continued coordination and cooperation at the government level for the soonest overcoming impact of the global spread of COVID-19.
Advancement of regional partnership was discussed among other issues, including the agreements reached at the second consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian states held in November 2019 in Tashkent.
Main areas of cooperation among the CIS countries were considered as well.
