Foreign Ministry, Turkic Council Election Observation Mission discuss preparations for Kyrgyzstan's parliamentary elections

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Foreign Minister Azizbek Madmarov met with the international observation mission of the Turkic Council led by Deputy Secretary General Gizmat Gozalov on October 1. The issues related to preparations of Kyrgyzstan for the upcoming parliamentary elections set for October 4 were discussed at the meeting.
The actions taken by the Foreign Ministry to organize voting for nationals of Kyrgyzstan abroad were considered in particular.
Gizmat Gozalov expressed hope the parliamentary elections will further advance progress and stability in Kyrgyzstan. He added the Turkic Council already monitored the 2015 parliamentary elections and 2017 presidential elections and praised the current active process of preparations for the parliamentary elections amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The views were also exchanged on further development of cooperation between Turkic Council member states and strengthening potential of this grouping.
