Such voting complex as in Kyrgyzstan is first in CIS region - Head of Election Observation Mission

AKIPRESS.COM - "Such voting complex we see for the first time in the CIS region," CIS Election Observation Mission Head Viktor Guminskiy said about the biometric identification of voters and automated ballot counting used in Kyrgyzstan.
"Our mission works in Kyrgyzstan since September 14. We have seen the Central Election Commission and other government agencies carried out a huge job in all areas which should bring good results," he said.
"According to reports of our observers, elections are held in organized manner everywhere. Polling stations were opened timely. Only one polling station had some problems with functioniong of automated ballot box," the Head of the CIS Election Observation Mission said.
