MP Asylbek Jeenbekov commented to media about current events in the country. He blamed "certain forces" of trying to fulfill their own plans. He called on to act within laws. "Some forces were preparing for the end of elections. We must live by law and obey the bodies elected by the people. The people elect the President by voting. Some 10-15 thousand people taking to the streets must not come against the majority. The minority must obey the majority," he said.

Mayor of Taalaibek Sarybashov met with the crowd. He said authorities will not be against the people and called for unity. "I call for preserving interethnic unity, peace and tranquility. As the mayor of the city, I would like to ask everyone to act within the law. It is my duty to work for the people, I'm not going anywhere," the mayor said.
On October 5 evening, thousands of protesters took to central square in Bishkek to protest against the results of parliamentary elections. Clashes occurred between riot police and protesters. Some 590 were reported injured and 1 civilian reported dead as of 8.00 a.m. October 6, according to the Ministry of Health.
By the night, a group of unknown people took over the White House. Jailed politicians, including ex-President Almazbek Atambayev and ex-Prime Minister Sapar Isakov, were freed.
