AKIPRESS.COM - All citizen patrol groups consolidated in Bishkek to protect the city from looters, Daniyar Terbishaliev, leader of the union of citizen patrols, said at the meeting with acting mayor of Bishkek Aziz Alymkulov.
"A memorandum was signed between all citizen patrol groups of the city almost an hour ago. We are ready to counter all looters, destructive forces," Terbishaliev said.
Acting mayor Alymkulov said the municipal authorities work as normally.
"Around 10,000 citizen patrol volunteers will protect safety in the city. Police forces received tasks. I think we will defend the city. Besides, veterans of special services joined us. Veterans of Alfa special task force of the State National Security Committee joined," the acting mayor said.
