AKIPRESS.COM - Civil society activists are holding emergency meeting today in Bishkek.
There are 3 issues on the agenda: ways to return to legal framework, security issues and lustration, public figure Tattuu Mambetalieva said.
"We do not need endless debates today. In current situation we do not have government, Parliament. In fact, we are in sitution when we do not know where the decision making center is," se said.
Human rights defender Dinara Oshurakhunova said absence of power lasts for 3 days.
"We can't remain aside. We always said Kyrgyzstan has a strong civil society. We made the first statement, in which we said the Parliament should convene as we do not have any other legitimate body. We should solve the issue with the President, so that the country does not fall into chaos," she said.
Civil society should show what lustration Kyrgyzstan needs, she suggested.
"Parliamentarians can't convene as they fear for their lives," she said.
