Operative team for COVID-19 containment discusses resurgence in daily cases in some regions of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment was held with participation of Deputy Prime Ministers Erkin Asrandiyev and Aida Ismailova.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health reported about spike in coronavirus cases in several regions of the country and registration of lethal cases linked to COVID-19.
The progress of construction of hospitals in the regions, Bishkek and Osh, provision of medical supplies and equipment for prospective hospitals were considered.
Purchase of medical equipment, medicines, personal protective gear was discussed among other issues.
Line government agencies were tasked to intensify preparations for acceleration of coronavirus wave in the country.
