Incumbent President Rahmon wins presidential elections landslide

AKIPRESS.COM - Incumbent President Emomali Ramon has won the presidential elections in Tajikistan having gained 90.92% of votes, the Central Election Commission announced.
The voter turnout made 85.39%.
Five candidates ran for the President of Tajikistan in 11 October elections: Rustam Latifzoda (Agrarian party), Abduhalim Gafforzoda (Socialist party), incumbent President Emomali Rahmon (Federation of Independent Trade Unions, Unin of Youth, People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan), Rustam Rahmatozoda (Party of Economic Reforms), Miroj Abdulloev (Communist party).
Emomali Rahmon is the third President of Tajikistan remaining in power since 16 November 1994.
