AKIPRESS.COM - Prosecutor General Otkurbek Jamshitov commented on possible change of Almazbek Atambayev's detention regime. "Based on what grounds he was released from detention should be should be taken into account. According to the law, there should be court hearings, proceedings with all parties in attendance. And only then the court must make its ruling," Jamshitov said.
Almazbek Atambayev was sentenced to 11 years and 2 months in prison within the case of illegal release of crime boss Aziz Batukayev from prison.
The military prosecutor's office is considering an application of attorney Zamir Jooshev on changing Atambayev's detention to house arrest.
