In pictures: President Jeenbekov resigns, Sadyr Japarov becomes acting President of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan held a session in Ala Archa State Residence on October 16. The parliamentarians considered resignation of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, lifting the state of emergency in Bishkek.
The parliamentarians voted for lifting the state of emergency.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov officially announced his resignation as the President of the Kyrgyz Republic at the session. In his address to the Parliament he outlined the results of his 3-year presidency.
Jeenbekov retained ex-President status and all privileges foreseen by it.
