Health Ministry forecasts further resurgence in COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Three new infectious diseases hospitals will be launched soon, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said.
The preparations for the cold season have started in summer. 11 buildings were repurposed as hospitals, he said.
"We can't say we are fully ready, since the epidemiological process is ambiguous. Epidemiological analysis is made and it is hard yet to make forecasts. We should better model different scenarios of development of the situation. Such scenarios allow to prepare better," the Deputy Health Minister stated.
Forecasts may be made for a short period of time.
"We may forecast the next week will be the period of further spike in coronavirus cases. The resurgence in coronavirus cases worldwide is explained with failure to respect COVID-19 precautionary measures," the Deputy Health Minister said.
