Turkmenistan President, Prime Minister of Malaysia discuss cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Malaysia Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had a telephone call to discuss bilateral cooperation, which was established 28 years ago.
One of the main directions of Turkmen-Malaysian cooperation was the further activation of trade and economic ties. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cited cooperation in the oil and gas sector, where the PETRONAS Malaysian state company is a long-standing and reliable partner of Turkmenistan, as an example of effective joint efforts.
PETRONAS is the largest investor of Turkmenistan with total investments of US$11 billion.
"The Prime Minister welcomed President Berdimuhamedov's invitation to visit his country and extended a similar invitation to the Turkmenistan leader to visit Malaysia once the COVID-19 situation stabilizes," the statement said.
