Supreme Court dismisses CEC appeal: Kyrgyzstan won't have repeat parliamentary elections on Dec 20

AKIPRESS.COM - The Supreme Court dismissed the cassation appeal of the Central Election Commission, its press service reported on October 30. The appeal was returned to the Central Election Commission as the period to appeal against the court ruling expired.
On October 21, the Central Election Commission scheduled the repeat parliamentary elections for December 20. On October 24, the administrative court of Bishkek sustained the claims of the Coalition for Democracy and Civil Society and Aktiv party and invalidated the decision of the Central Election Commission, which scheduled the repeat parliamentary elections for December 20.
On October 28, the Central Election Commission submitted the appeal to the Supreme Court, but its appeal was returned due to irregularities with payment of the state duty. On October 29, the Central Election Commission submitted its appeal again, but the Supreme Court did not consider it as the period for consideration of appeals expired.
