1.7 million copies of books published in Kyrgyzstan in 2019

AKIPRESS.COM - 1.5 thousand books with a total circulation of 1.7 million copies and 38 magazines with an annual circulation of 80 thousand copies were published in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, according to the National Statistics Committee.
54% of books and 8% of magazines were published in Kyrgyz language.
Kyrgyzstan started book publishing activities in the mid-20s of XX century, when the process of creating the national written language and the first printed bodies in the Kyrgyz language completed.
