Kyrgyz Cinema Day marked on November 17

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan marks the Kyrgyz Cinema Day on November 17.
A decree to establish Frunze studio of newsreel was signed on November 17, 1941. Later it became the Kyrgyz Film studio.
The staff of the first newsreel studio had only 9 people, including cameramen, directors, sound engineers and laboratory staff.
The first color Kyrgyz film Saltanat was filmed in 1955. In Soviet times, the studio made about three films a year and operated 500 cinemas.
The filmmaking and film studio began to collapse in 1988 and in seven years one film the Cloud was shot.
