Meters to be installed throughout Bishkek to measure air pollution

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek mayor's office and Public Foundation Environmental Solutions Institute launch Clean Air project.
The aim of the environmental project is to measure the quality of air in the capital.
On November 24, the air pollution level exceeded that of the last year by 35-50%.
"In order to understand what is happening with air, we will install 39 meters. This is the minimum number of meters united into one network, which will allow to obtain the full picture of air pollution in Bishkek. All data will be entered into the ecological database and will be open to anyone. Installation of mMeters will be financed from sources other than Bishkek budget," the mayor's office said.
