Enterprise under Education Ministry to handle textbook printing in Kyrgyzstan since 2021

AKIPRESS.COM - The New Textbook Enterprise under the Ministry of Education and Science will handle textbook printing since 2021, Education Minister Almaz Beishenaliev said.
"The problem of mistakes in textbooks arises during the last several years. Nobody takes responsibility for these mistakes. The New Textbook Enterprise will be responsible for textbooks: content, printing, validation. The process of registration is under way," the Minister said.
Some 600 million soms are needed a year for school textbooks, the Minister added. Some 120 million soms are allocated lately, he said.
"We may print just 20% of necessary amount of textbooks, this is why we can't renew 80% of textbooks," the Minister explained.
