Sadyk Sher-Niyaz exits presidential race

AKIPRESS.COM - Politician Sadyk Sher-Niyaz announced that he is withdrawing his candidacy from the presidential race.
He said he met with Sadyr Japarov, who is participating in January 10 presidential election.
"Early this morning I met with Sadyr Japarov, we can say that there was a meeting of politicians and cultural figures. This meeting was initiated by Almambet Shykmamatov. We discussed 5 topics in education, culture, governance, elections to the parliament and the Institute of Aksakals (elders)," Sher-Niyaz said.
"Our opinions on parliamentarism did not match. He said that he supports the presidential form of ruling and the majority system of elections to the parliament. We had a lively discussion on this topic. We came to the conclusion it is the people [referendum] who should decide on this issue," Sadyk Sher-Niyaz added.
