First ever meeting of council for people with disabilities held in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The first ever meeting of the council for people with disabilities was held in Bishkek on December 1, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development reported.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Elvira Surabaldieva, Minister of Labor and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Jany Alybaeva, representatives of government agencies, non-profit organizations, international organizations.
The participants of the meeting discussed implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities through initiated public-private partnership project on organizaton of day care centers for children with disabilities.
The zero project on situation with persons with disabilities at the moment of ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was presented at the meeting.
