AKIPRESS.COM - Tajik Foreign Minister Sirjidiin Muhriddin attended the virtual meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The heads of delegations exchanged views on main trends in international and regional security, activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Tajik Foreign Ministry said.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin shared Tajikistan's vision of relevant issues of cooperation in priority areas of CSTO agenda. It was noted that long lasting socio-economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic may also pose threat to security.
The Tajik Foreign Minister emphasized importance of counteraction to terrorism, extremism and trans-boundary crime in CSTO region, problems in Afghanistan and the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border.
The Tajik Foreign Minister outlined main priorities of upcoming Tajikistan's CSTO chairmanship in political and international areas.
