AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Foreign Minister Azizbek Madmarov attended the first China-Afghanistan-Central Asia virtual meeting on December 9 at the level of deputy foreign ministers, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, trade and economic interaction and development of transport and logistics ties. They agreed to boost intraregional trade, resume and increase the trade turnover in the conditions of coronavirus pandemic and ensure food security.
The parties highlighted the importance of efforts by the Afghan government and the international community to establish peace in Afghanistan and promote reconciliation process.
Kyrgyz, Chinese and Uzbek sides stressed the importance of further joint work on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad construction.
The parties also discussed cooperation in coronavirus response and economic recovery amid pandemic.
