AKIPRESS.COM - On December 12, Talas town hosted events dedicated to the birthday of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov. Region authorities and public figures laid flowers at the Aitmatov memorial in Talas.
The participants heard readouts from the author's works.
The great writer was born on December 12, 1928 in Sheker village of Talas region.
He died on June 10, 2008.
