National Security Committee looking into wedding of businessman Jalil Atambayev's son with 1000 guests during pandemic

AKIPRESS.COM - The National Security Committee says it started investigation into a large wedding organized by businessman Jalil Atambayev for his son with about 1,000 people attending. The wedding party took place on December 12 in Osh city.
"Despite restrictions on holding mass events and celebrations, businessman Jalil Atambayev organized a big wedding party with the participation of about 1,000 people. He grossly violated the sanitary and epidemiological requirements also causing public outcry," the National Security Committee reported.
Atambayev's son is a current employee of the National Security Committee, the statement added. Official investigation against him was also launched, as a result of which appropriate measures will be taken, dismissal is not excluded.
Atambayev was summoned to the National Security Committee investigative service to clarify all the circumstances.
