Initiative groups need to get registration to campaign for or against at referendum

AKIPRESS.COM - The initiative groups who plan to campaign for or against at the referendum should undergo registration procedures at the Central Election Commission, CEC Vice Chairman Abdyjapar Bekmatov said.
"They need to provide respective documents to the Central Election Commission and get registered. Then they may carry out campaigning activities. Such groups have not applied to the Central Election Commission so far," the CEC Vice Chairman added.
Besides, such groups needs to set up their funds and use money from these funds for campaigning activities. The initiative groups will be provided time for their televised appearance.
Public and municipal servants, law enforcers and workers of fiscal agencies may not be members of such initiaitive groups.
