UK Ambassador to Turkmenistan contracted COVID-19

The UK ambassador's illness is not the first case of infection of an employee of a foreign mission in Turkmenistan. In August, turkmen.news sources reported that Kurbanmukhammet Mukhammedov, a driver for the OSCE Center in Turkmenistan, died of COVID-19. Earlier in July, Kemal Uchkun, a religious affairs advisor at the Turkish Embassy, died of pneumonia.
