Putin on Kyrgyzstan: There's always leapfrog happening there in attempts to stabilize political life based on Western models

AKIPRESS.COM - "There is a constant leapfrog happening in Kyrgyzstan in attempts to adjust the internal political life to some Western countries," said Vladimir Putin at his press conference responding to question about the "crisis of middle age in the CIS countries" and whether Russia may lose some of its allies in the CIS.
"You said "midlife crisis" and gave some examples, like Kyrgyzstan. It is the first time such things happening in there or something? There's always leapfrog happening in there. There is constantly a leaping forward in order to arrange the internal political life in accordance with the models of some Western countries. But the level of political awareness and maturity of institutions there is not the same as, let's say, in France," he said.
"The political system in France or in a federal republic was formed for over decades, maybe even centuries. And the parliamentary form of government has certainly evolved over centuries with political parties traditionally with their stable political platform understandable to voters, they exist. Where did you see that in the post-Soviet countries?" said Putin.
