AKIPRESS.COM - Tashkent House of Photographs opened exhibition dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov on December 22, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan said. The photo exhibition features 70 unique photographs from the family archive of Eldar Aitmatov, son of Chingiz Aitmatov, who heads the writer's house-museum.
A video message from Eldar Aitmatov to the participants and guests of the event was shown at the opening ceremony.
Director of SCO Center for Public Diplomacy Kobiljon Sobirov, First Secretary of the Embassy Azamat Almanbetov, Head of Chingiz Aitmatov Center at the National University of Uzbekistan Akhmadjon Meliboev, Chairman of the Kyrgyz National Cultural Center in Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Jabbarov, Executive Director of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Association Zuhriddin Isomuddinov took part in the event.
The photo exhibition will run until January 22, 2021.
